Hi everybody! I know that in my first post I mentioned a probably not-so-well-known book by Pseudonymos Bosch. I think I'll start with saying a bit more about that series. As I mentioned before, my favorite is, "This Book Is Not Good for You", cause it's about the best thing in the world!:) You can probably guess that I happen to be a chocoholic. (Just keep that fake white chocolate away from me!)
The first book, "The Name of This Book is Secret", is about a secret story. Consequently, the first chapter includes no information at all. Most people know that the first chapter of a book is all the boring stuff, introducing characters, the setting, all of that. Well, this author wants to keep everything a secret! He gives none of that, and even goes so far as to say that he won't disclose the name of the characters, so he just gave the main one the name of Cass. There you have it, the whole exposition is one name. The other books all have a twist like this, so you definitely need to have a sense of humor to get through this series!:)
The books are all about a secret that the Terces society, (Guess what?! Terces is backwards for Secret! Obviously on purpose by the author!:), is trying to keep another group from learning. But, there's a twist. The Terces society doesn't even know the secret themselves, and another part of their job is to figure out what the secret is! You will learn later on that it's up to Cass and her newfound buddy, Max-Ernest--famous for his bad jokes, divorced parents that actually cut their house in half!, and double-name-- to discover the secret and help the Terces society keep it away from the other group, aka the Midnight Sun.
In a rating of 1-10, I would give this series an 8 or 9. The writing is good, and I enjoyed the overall humor of the series. I would definitely recommend this series for a person searching for humorous books!
Liv:)
