Hey people!  I have finished the first and second book in the wheel of time series.....The second is called the Great Hunt and it was really good:)  The writing is awesome, but it takes a while to get through each book.  I'm reading a few short books now because these books are really long so that I don't get bored of the series.  If you want to know more about this series, read it yourself!!!!!! :)  Remember-The Wheel of Time, Robert Jordan, 1st book- The Eye of the World.  You should really check it out.  I'm only doing a short post this time, check for more later.  Bye!

The Wheel of Time

Hi Everybody! Sorry it took so long in between posts, but I've been incredibly busy.  I just started a new series called The Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan, and it's REALLY good so I decided to do this post about it.  I'm still on the first book and it's called The Eye of the World and is between 600 and 700 pages long, so if anybody's looking for a nice, long series to keep them occupied for a while, this one's for you.  The main character in the series is a young boy called Rand Al'Thor and it begins on a small farm.  So far in the 200-some pages that I've read, Rand and his friends Mat and Perrin are trying to escape from an all-powerful evil dude called the Dark One with the help of a powerful sorceress named Moiraine and a man named Lan.  They are still escaping in the part I'm on right now, and so far it's an incredibly good read.
Look for more later, I'll keep you posted!!!
I also just finished a series called Maximum Ride by James Patterson.  It was really good and I whipped through it about a book per day.  The first book is called The Angel Experiment.  The books are about a group of kids that have been experimented on illegally by scientists and whose DNA was mixed with that of a bird.  They are super strong, fast, and smart.  They also have special powers specific to each kid like breathing underwater, reading minds, manipulating and bending people's wills, and being magnetic.  The one special thing about all of the characters is that they can fly and each have a beautiful pair of wings.  The characters in the group or "flock" as they are called are as follows: Maximum Ride (Max), Fang, the Gasman, Angel, Iggy, and Nudge.  You should totally read the books to find out more.

                               See ya later!!!!!

All about the Flamels

I'm pretty sure quite a few people know about Nicholas Flamel, especially if you've read the Harry Potter series.  That guy that invented the sorcerer's stone.  Well, I found a series known as "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" by a guy named Michael Scott.  They are all about Nicholas Flamel (aka Nick Fleming) and his wife Perenelle Flamel (aka Perry Fleming).  They choose to have these code names so that they can stay hidden from an evil dude named Dr. John Dee and the "Dark Elders".  The Flamels are trying to protect a book thousands of years old and known as the codex.

The codex keeps the Flamels alive and they are immortal just so long as they make a potion from a recipe in the codex every month.  The catch is that the recipe is different each month so that if they lose the codex they will age, wither, and die.  Like I said before, they are protecting it from the "Dark Elders" who are trying to steal it and all of its knowledge for their own purposes.  Some include using the human race as slaves or even as food.  They manage to turn other humans over to their purposes by granting them immortality.  But the humans can never leave service, for if they do, their immortality will be withdrawn and they will die.

A help in the Flamels battle are the legendary twins, Sophie and Josh.  They are prophesied in the Codex, and have extraordinary magical potential.  But, to gain power, it has to be awakened, a dangerous and oftentimes deadly process.  The big question is if the twins survive and if they will survive the challenges in the rest of the books.

I found this series REALLY entertaining and I think that all you people will like it too:):)  By the way, I'm almost positive you can get it on a nook. :)
