Here's a series that I doubt many people have heard of. It's called Leven Thumps. The series is by Obert Skye and there are five books. My favorite is the fifth one (it's the most intense). The first one seemed to be a bit of a drag to me, but it gets way better as it goes on. They are all about a world called Foo, that is based on the dreams of people that live on Earth, or reality as they call it. Anything that we dream of while we're sleeping goes directly into Foo. If you were wondering, Leven Thumps is the main character in the story, and he's trying to stop an evil dude named Sabine. He was pulled reluctantly into Foo.
To get to Foo, you have to meet certain requirements. It has to be a certain temperature, at a certain place, with a shooting star rocketing through the sky. Right when you get there, you're greeted by little fuzzy cat-like creatures called sycophants, whos only purpose in life is to serve the poor people that are taken into Foo unknowingly and unwillingly. It's not all bad though, because of course when you're taken into someone's dream world it's going to be very magical.
There are good things about Foo, like being given a single magical power. These lucky people are called nits. Their powers range from flying to freezing stuff. But, more powerful are the offings. They are rare and powerful. Unlike the nits, they can have more than one gift, and can see and move around the future. The guy I mentioned earlier, Leven Thumps, is an offing. Directly above offings are the Lithens. They were some of the first to arrive in Foo. They try their hardest to "preserve the true Foo". Lithens fear nothing, because they live and travel by fate. The only person higher than them is The Want. He sees every dream that comes into Foo, and is prophetic and also a bit crazy from it all.
The Leven Thumps series is really entertaining and I hope you'll enjoy it!
